We host guest speaker, Ed Ruane, Stakeholder Engagement Manager from Severn Trent, to talk about water saving to stimulate our further thinking about solutions we could each incorporate into our life along with discussion on initiating more community-led activities to be more water-efficient.
We are a community-led group started in June 2019, focused on the idea of providing a sustainable future for the town we call home. Transition Towns are a movement started in Totnes in 2006, which aim to:
strengthen the local economy
reduce our environmental impact
build our resilience for a future with less cheap energy and a changing climate

Although we have big ambitions, we’re still a small group and we're always seeking new people to join us. You can support us by signing up to our mailing list and keeping in touch with our regular activities. Even better, if there’s something you think you’d like to improve about our town and you don’t want to wait for the council or the government to do it, get in touch by emailing rugbytransitiontown@gmail.com. Become a member to get involved regularly as part of the team!
We also want to improve community links as much as possible. Rugby is full of amazing groups who do inspirational work every day – if you’re part of a group and would like some help with a project, or want to find links with other organisations, get in touch.
